Advertising & Product Testing
lake8.dev does not sell anonymous advertising space. It sells earned visibility — after a real test, on a real audience, with data verifiable by anyone.
How it works
- You send us the product. Ship the product to San Pietro in Casale (Bologna, Italy). No fee for the test, no preliminary agreement on the review outcome.
- We test it. The product is tested by Giantommaso Fogli and BASIC (Lagotto Romagnolo, unofficial CEO). The test is real, the judgment is free.
- We publish. We publish an article with our verdict — positive, negative or mixed. No filters, no agreements, no veto rights.
- Advertising starts. If you accept the terms, your product enters the rotating advertising box in the navbar. You pay for every click that arrives at your site from lake8.dev.
Conflict of interest policy
lake8.dev does not accept product testing requests from companies that are active consulting clients of lake8.dev, nor within 12 months of the conclusion of a consulting project.
This policy exists to protect the independence of our editorial judgment. No exceptions.
Pricing — pay per click
The cost per click depends on lake8.dev's real daily traffic, verifiable in real time at stats.lake8.dev/geo.html.

Traffic is public. Clicks are tracked via dedicated UTM per advertiser. No estimates — real data only.
Invoicing
Fees accrued for generated clicks are invoiced monthly or annually at lake8.dev's discretion.
Failure to issue an invoice in any given period does not constitute waiver of accrued credit nor evidence of lake8.dev's intention not to invoice. The credit remains enforceable regardless of the invoice issue date.
What you accept when you send a product
Sending the product constitutes full acceptance of these terms:
- lake8.dev's editorial judgment is free, independent and non-negotiable
- No separate agreements can bind the editorial judgment
- The advertising service is separate from the editorial judgment and remains active regardless of the review outcome
- lake8.dev does not return products received for testing
- Credit for accrued clicks is enforceable regardless of the invoicing date
- Companies that are active consulting clients of lake8.dev, or that have been within the last 12 months, are not eligible for product testing
